Silt Fence is the ideal barrier for sediment control around construction sites or wherever there is bare or disturbed earth. The woven geotextile used on wire backed silt fence is designed to filter out sediment from construction site run-off, yet allow clean water to pass through.
Silt fence is a temporary sediment barrier of entrenched permeable geotextile fabric designed to intercept and slow the flow of sediment-laden sheet flow runoff from small areas of disturbed soil. The purpose of this practice is to reduce slope length of the disturbed area and to intercept and retain transported sediment from disturbed areas.
Wire Backed Silt Fence incorporates an effective filter fabric supported with a durable 14-guage wire mesh.
